It was common to have up to 25 articles of earned media every year from the relationships I’ve built with press.

I’ve learned that news media is a thankless job. Many of my friends who cover local stories tell me their subjects rarely say thank you after the story is published.

What do I do differently? I say thank you.

I often provide supplemental materials and details to make reporters’ jobs easier too.

It’s not much work, but it’s honest work!

I usually try new writing styles for each article and practice SEO with each topic. With a name like Ruggieri, I think it will be very challenging to attract attention to these articles…

I utilize my blog as a remedy for my impostor syndrome. Authoring these posts remind me of the diligent work and patience I have put towards projects before and how it can lead me to similar success in the future. Consider each blog post a “thank you note” for the people and experiences that got me this far!
